Richard Quine began his musical training as a Choral Scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge where he studied Music, before taking a Foundation Scholarship to the Royal College of Music to study Singing.

As a singer Richard has toured most of the theatres in the UK and also abroad, performing in concert ranging from classical opera to musical theatre and pop, and swing and jazz. He has made choral and solo recordings; backing vocals for film and TV; and appeared in The Young Victoria feature film as an Opera Soloist.

Richard has held singing teaching posts at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art.

Richard believes in building a solid foundation of technique, specifically tailored to develop and release the potential in every voice, at every level. Students are equipped with the skills to work on their own: warming up; working on technical challenges; and understanding how best to look after their voice. He also helps individuals develop the skills for the interpretation of songs, building a range of colour and expression to fully explore emotion and story: to bring the song to life.
